Iain Percy/Andrew Simpson – Olympic Champions 2008Iain Percy has been part of Skandia’s sponsorship programme since 2003. Sailing with team mate Andrew Simpson (or Bart as he's known) he competes in the Star Class, which is widely regarded as one of the toughest classes. The Star is a 6.9 metre two-man keelboat and is the oldest of the Olympic classes. Along with being crowned Olympic Champion in 2008, Iain was Olympic Champion in the Finn Class in 2000 and an Olympian in 2004. Iain and Andrew are ranked among the best sailors in the world, competed in the America's Cup in 2007, and are part of Britain's America's Cup Challenge Team – Team Origin. "I had dreamed of winning the Olympics for as long as I can remember and in Sydney that dream came true. That feeling was surpassed, however, in Beijing when I was lucky enough to share the podium with my oldest friend and the guy I owed so much for my earlier success – Andrew (Bart) Simpson. For some reason achievement is so much sweeter when it’s shared with someone else." "To win Gold at the Olympics was always a dream, and actually doing it was amazing, but to win Gold in 2012 on home waters would be the ultimate!"
