The Skandia Set Sail initiative aims to streamline Skandia’s global sponsorship activity by placing all our major sponsorship projects under the ‘Set Sail’ banner over the next few years.

The campaign objectives are to:

Grow the sport’s reach

Enrich peoples’ lives

By providing support to people, activities and events, Skandia can:

Make a positive contribution

Work in partnership

Demonstrate its values in action

Skandia has long been associated with sailing sponsorship, but never as far reaching as now!

Whatever we sponsor, whether it be youth projects or super maxis, our underlying goal is the same. We are an international long-term savings company committed to making a difference by helping customers prosper and achieve their goals. This commitment is as true for the many people who benefit from our sailing sponsorship as it is for our customers of our financial products and services around the world.

We define our sailing sponsorship under three categories:

• Skandia Set Sail Teams
  
• Skandia Set Sail Athletes

The Skandia Set Sail programme is committed to making a difference to sailing related charities too. To date, we have worked successfully with Sail 4 Cancer in the UK and Australia, who raise funds for cancer research and treatment. They also provide cancer sufferers and their families a chance to get out on the water and enjoy the sport we all love.
